It’s JUNE! I am so glad you are joining me for coffee today! Today feels special today because it is my second day of summer vacation. This does not mean that I am out of work completely. There are some workshops and training I will be going to but I do not have to drive into work every day. To be home is glorious. I appreciate this schedule change. It usually takes me a week to recalibrate myself but I do not think I will have that issue this year.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you the beginning of the week was busy because the kids were out of school so they were home. There are spurts of energy and then calm. It was wonderful. Treehouses are being built, lots of scootering and being outside was happening, lots of drawing and bookmaking, and such laughter!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I completed the StoryaDay May challenge! I wrote 31 stories. If you would like to read what I learned about this challenge this year click here. I have done several challenges this year already but I like this one best. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday I had no trouble doing my freewrite exercise but I did have trouble with the pressure of writing a full complete story. I did it though. Thank goodness for the community Friday or I would have put it off til midnight. Two writers did sprints with me in the afternoon and I was able to write a story I enjoy and will do something with!

If we were having coffee I would tell you I have to form a revision plan. I have to get some short stories revised and ready to share. I do have part of a plan to set aside an hour a week for the month to revise my novel. I want to get the first 3 chapters at least ready to send out.

If we were having coffee I would tell you I had a delightful lunch with two of my fellow teachers on the last day of school. It was great fun, great food, and a great transition into summer break.

If we were having coffee I would tell you I am changing offices again at work. I really do not mind this time. My boss has been hinting at it all school year. I have books I need to sort through, but that is not a bad thing. There isn’t a huge rush to get everything…
