Welcome back to the weekend! It has been a long week for me with several long nights at school and new routines. Whew! Has your week been calm or hectic? Let’s talk about it.

If we were having coffee I would tell you the 100 rejections project is going well. I had one of my stories go live this week so that is always exciting. Another is coming up next week. I am keeping up with submissions and adding to the spreadsheet.

If we were having coffee I would tell you I am participating in the 12 stories in 12 months challenge and also the poetry challenge sponsored by the same site. There is a private site where you post and people can comment. It is a nice deadline to get something revised and out there for some commentary.

If we were having coffee I would tell you my story was published this week on Elephants Never. This story came from a generative weekend class Kathy Fish offered and I really loved the structure. You can read that here.

If we were having coffee I would tell you I did my IWSG post this week and it was about using visuals for writing. This technique is one I have used for kids and myself for years. Storyaday May also uses this type of prompt. My favorite piece is from Starry Night from Kathy Fish’s class on Skillshare though.
