Transitioning from a Season of Creation to Revision

What I learned writing a story a day in September

All writers have their process. I am always interested in learning about how other writers do it. Some love drafting and creation and some love revision.

Just like reading, there is a point where I consume so many books and then I am COMPELLED to talk about them with other readers.

I feel the same about writing. I can create for months but then there is a point I muse polish and share which doesn’t always have to be in a formal way.

I have been in a season of creation for too long. There have been short tangents of revision and submission.

On my writer call Monday night I mentioned that I’m ready to move from a season of creation into a season of revision. Otherwise known as HER VISION — which of course is my vision for my stories.

I participated in the challenge of Storyaday September and I wrote a short story everyday. But I am weary and need a change. I must revise in October but this is not an easy transition for me. If you are the writer that LOVES revision maybe you have some tips for me!

I am a believer in calendar reminders and time blocking so I have an alert to remind me to revise every day in October because…
