I have learned I have to protect myself from the people around me. Well, not the people necessarily, but their emotions. I have found since writing more, listening to my intuition, and opening up my own emotions I am more sensitive to others. I have always been able to read people well and tell them things about themselves they do not think I should know.

I found being around new people the past month I have been drained more than in the past. After consulting a trusted psychic healer she asked me if I protect myself before coming to work. It has never occurred to me.

As a yoga teacher one of my favorite meditations is an oil visualization. As you lie in Savasana you imagine a trickle of warm oil is being poured on your forehead where your third eye is. As you breathe you imagine it covering your entire body slowly. I use this one before sleep often.

Another favorite is breathing in light and out darkness. With each inhalation you imagine breathing in white smoke and on the exhalation black smoke. A variation of this mediation is one I am now using daily in the morning. As I breathe I imagine a ball of white light of protection from my heart center.
