Pixar and Running
A formula and a new word for writing fun!
The Pixar formula has been used successfully before and after merging with Disney. Many writers use it as a story frame.
The frame goes like this:
- Once upon a time…
- Every day…
- One day…
- Because of that…
- Because of that…
- Until finally…
Lately, I have been able to run outside. It has been glorious. I have run a lot of miles outside to prepare for a lot of long distance races but am not in that mode now. Now my goals are centered around fitness and muscle.
Today I ran at the National Dunes Park and it was beautiful and full of life.
Today I will use the PIXAR formula to start a story upon a runner.
Once upon a time, there was a selfish girl who got mad at everyone around her for actions she poisoned her own life with.
Every day she ran in the woods and didn’t talk to anyone or be courteous because she “was training.”
One day she will get lost because a path that was not there before will appear…
