September 4 question — If you could pick one place in the world to sit and write your next story, where would it be and why?
This question was not difficult to imagine at all!
My perfect setting for my writing retreat would be a little red cabin on the edge of a lake. Mountains in the distance would be the perfect backdrop for the sun. The cabin would be airy with lots of windows and on my very own island. An island makes it perfect for no guests to stop by and for me to take a writing break walk. There are lots of trees to keep me company.
Inside is the perfect desk and the perfect chair for me to sit and write in. My most precious books are around me in a couple built in bookcases. My old journals are among those volumes as well and I dive into them when I want some different inspiration. I have tarot cards and the internet otherwise!
It would be somewhere north which could be almost to Canada or Norway. It doesn’t much matter really the location as long as it is away from most people. The only person I need near is my husband. I need coffee too and then I am happy to write.
The idea of imagining this setting really makes me giddy and all smiles.
