A 5 Minute Prompt on Friday

Set the timer and write for 5 minutes:

What direction am I going in? One where I am more aligned with who I really am. My word for 2020 is MORE in relation to what is essential to me.

I am allowing myself to heal. There is pain and I have to go through it.

Direction towards more money is a goal this new year. Money is a resource and I need it to help the people I want to help and to do things for my family. I also am tired of being under paid. Recently, I discovered others in my same job are paid $26,000 more a year even though I have more extensive training and experience. One reason is I have not been in this school corporation my entire career but that factor adds to my experience and training. It is discouraging. I have tried to increase the pay through proposals and other avenues but have been shut down times. I am looking into other ways to use my skills to increase my bottom line.

The direction I am moving with my writing involves my 100 rejections project this first quarter of the year. This is working well. I am tracking my writing, submissions and places to submit in one spreadsheet. I also have been revising more consistently because I have a reason to do so. I am enlisting the help of my beta reader to read again. We are not working within the same building…
